If you have a GPS, just turn it off or throw it out of the window as soon as you pick up your car. It won't tell you anything terribly wrong but it will take you cross country through small villages and dirt tracks which is probably not a good idea on your first trip and will make you argue with your passenger which is not good for other road users. Just follow the directions below which are far more straight forward, yes honestly, but maybe a little longer.
From Alicante airport follow the A-7 towards Murcia until it joins the A-30 in the direction of Albacete.
From Murcia (San Javier) airport just pick up the A-30 and head towards Albacete.
Keep on the A-30 Albacete until you pass Molina Segura & Archena etc until you come to the turn off for Blanca railway station (Blanca F.C. - Does not mean Blanca Football Club!!). This is the turn you need, but once off the motorway DON'T keep following signs for the station, follow signs for Blanca instead, carrying straight on at the traffic island and going past the Cepsa petrol station. You will pass another Repsol petrol station on your right hand side and then enter Blanca. Keep going all the way through until you come to a traffic island like a circular slab of concrete laying in the road. It used to be made of metal but so many people hit it they took it away recently because it was so badly dinted. Turn left at this island and then cross a metal bridge and follow the road up hill and round many sharp bends. As you leave Blanca you will come to a right hand turn signposted "Campo de Ricote", take it and drive under the bridge and follow the road, very carefully because it is twisty & narrow.
Eventually you will come to another junction - Take the right turn signposted "Campo de Ricote" & "Molino Charrara". Yes we have our own signposts and at this point you are 8km away. Take note of the yellow & white km markers at the side of the road. From the turn, the first one you will see after about 1.5km is the 7km marker, the 6km marker is down a hillside so you'll miss it and the first five are on a different road. Once you get to the 10km marker you are almost with us, you will pass Bar La Carmen on the right & then the road turns sharply to the right and you carry on past the 11km marker, past Ma Paz panaderia on the left and then about 100m further on there is a t-junction on the right just before a "pretend" windmill, but you may miss the sign for "Molino Charrara" because it tends to get hidden behind an almond tree as the year progresses and if you see the 12km marker then turn around and go back because you've missed us. Take that t-junction, you are now 1.5km away, and then just follow the road making sure NOT to turn towards Charrara but wait until the road suddenly takes a sharp left followed by a steep downhill and a sharp right, you will see a sign on the left saying "Molino Charrara B&B", don't take a second to think we could make it better, just look right, hit the brakes, see the dirt track? Take it and in front of you is a big millstone and a sign saying "Molino Charrara" with three flag poles behind it. Look right, the road goes down about 10m to a black gate which has a buzzer on the right hand side near the post box. Take your favourite finger & press the buzzer and we will be only too pleased to welcome you inside.
